Support for education, especially for girls
Zeina is a powerful voice for global gender equality, with a strong personal connection to the importance of education. She was an ambassador for Visions for Children.
She is currently studying educational science and sociology at the University of Potsdam.
A strong role in advocacy for equality
Early on, Zeina advocated to enable women wearing hijab like her to be allowed to take part in official boxing matches in Germany.
Her efforts were successful and paved the way for the International Boxing Association (IBA) to lift the ban on the hijab in boxing in 2019, enabling many Muslim female athletes to compete in the ring.
Her efforts attracted attention: Nike designed a Pro Hijab and hired her for a worldwide campaign alongside stars like LeBron James and Kylian Mbappé.

As a GPE champion, Zeina promotes the importance of investing in education to give every child around the world the skills they need to succeed, using her social media channels.
She supports GPE’s “Multiply Possibility” financing campaign through messages to key partners and participation in campaign activities.
